Zagarri Engineering designed and integrated a high-performance Cellular DAS enhancement system at the Bussen Underground retail facility in Mehlville, Missouri, providing reliable cellular connectivity throughout the facility’s unique limestone underground environment. The system utilizes Wilson Connectivity’s 4330 Industrial donor amplifier in conjunction with a Zinwave 5000 Primary Hub, which distributes the cellular signal via fiber to a distribution Zinwave 5000 Secondary Hub located within the underground limestone cavern.
The Secondary Hub feeds high-power remote units connected to strategically positioned coverage antennas throughout the facility. The completed system significantly enhances cellular coverage and connectivity across all major wireless carriers and supported frequencies, delivering strong and reliable voice, text, and data service throughout the underground retail environment. Zagarri Engineering successfully engineered the system to overcome the unique RF challenges associated with the facility’s below-grade, limestone construction, resulting in exceptional cellular performance and a seamless communications experience for employees, customers, and visitors.
