St. Louis Community College | Kirkwood, Missouri

Zagarri Engineering designed and integrated an Emergency Responder Communication Enhancement System (ERCES) at the St. Louis Community College Meramec Student Center in Kirkwood, Missouri, providing reliable in-building radio coverage for first responders.

The system utilizes a ½-watt bi-directional amplifier (BDA), donor antenna, and strategically placed indoor coverage antennas to enhance public safety radio communications throughout the facility. The system supports AT&T FirstNet 700 MHz and St. Louis Area Regional Response System (SLATER) 800 MHz emergency responder frequencies.

Zagarri Engineering provided system design, integration, commissioning, and performance testing, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with applicable public safety communication requirements. The system was also integrated with the building’s fire alarm control panel (FACP) for continuous monitoring.

Following successful commissioning and testing, the completed ERCES delivers dependable in-building radio coverage, supporting critical communications between emergency personnel and enhancing overall life safety throughout the Student Center.
